Commander: Then its a good time for him to put all his piloting skills to use. Skinar, Axel here, we want you to thread the ship on this following course i will upload the coordinates to you. + (Commander presses keys on his holo pad, the new coordinates are uploaded to Skinar's Flight System. Skinar come in. |
Skynar: Neither have I been out here and I think its fascinating being this far outfrom our homeworlds. but I have to focus on piloting the ship, I hate all this sitting around in the chair that I have to do, but someone has to monitor that crazy computer system. But at least the controls are cooperating with me for the time being. but I dont' want to take any chances.
Bank Ship Right of Gas Pocket (script below) Bank Ship Left of Gas Pocket Reverse back the way you came The Ship receives %spin% damage as it runs into a gas pocket. |
Array 1 of 50 Skynar's 50 excuses for bad flying
Oops, I might be a little bit rusty, I haven't actually done this kind of thing before. Oh no, not again, darn, Skyner, stop crashing into things. Argghhh, stop hitting the rocks. Wrong way Right into trouble Drat. I will get it eventually Commander It will take a little time. I hit that one as well. Argh, this is getting a bit annoying. Its been a while since I tried something like this. Whew that was a near miss. This is the real thing, this is not a training exercise. Relax Skinar, you will get the ship through this. Oh no, I almost hit that one. We nearly got hit again. But I managed to avoid it. Hard to Right, Arghh, that was close. Hard to Left, Arghh, hard again to right, Whoa, too close for comort. I am going to need Nine lives just to pilot this ship. I wonder how far is left to go now with these rocks. I hope we exit this place soon. I don't want the ship getting damaged. Let's try to get out of this asteroid field first. I hope I can dodge all of them eventually. Well I got us this far, let's hope we can clear the rest of this field. Hitting 2 out of 5 is not bad. (Well its terrible actually.) Ouch, that last hit we took hurt. I don't want to dent the ship all up like a tin can. I hope I can get the ship all through in one piece and not all in pieces. Hard pull up, Whoa, that rock almost hit us, hard down, Whooa, hard to left. I am trying the best I can Commander, but these rocks there are so many of them. They didn't have this simulation at the academy, this is tough flying. I can't guarantee that I won't hit another rock, this is tough flying. Try to stay calm and focus on the flying. if i am calm and focused then I will be able to handle getting us through this. I need peace and quiet if i am to do this. Drat more trouble, a big cluster of rocks heading this way. Oh my that is a massive asteroid, we will have to fly hard to left to avoid hitting it. Things look a little more trickier out here. Ooops, sorry, this area is pretty tough. I don't like flying through radiation clouds especially pockets that are volatile. You expect me to fly through those gas pockets and not get hit? I can't promise we won't sustain any permanent damage to the shields if anymore of those gas pockets explode on us. I'll do better next time. I promise We need to keep the shield damage down low This is not exactly an easy ship to control you know I just hope I don't hit another gas pocket. I'll try to avoid the pockets as best I can Whew, that was close. I just missed that one. I'll try to get us through unscathed. They never had these kind of simulations back at the Academy |
Skynar: Oh not you two starting up all again, LOOK, HOW CAN I FLY THIS SHIP WITH YOU TWO behind my back arguing? I need peace and quiet, we are in a dangerous part of space and I need all my experience and wits about me if I am to get us safely
through all these asteroids. I must be focused so i can be able to maneuver the ship. |
