Commander: Groan... Oh well, there's the end of my rest. Engineering, send someone to go fix the steam pressure valve at that junction.  It's about to blow.

(Cutcene on engineering section...  Showing a small pipe on the wall is building up some presssure, and steam is starting to leak out of the echo. pipe value.  Suddenly, there is a big explosion, as the pipe explodes.  One of the engineers is thrown by the blast. ...

Loana: Hello Commander I thought I would come down here to take some things off my mind, its been a real hectic Day, with the war on Vinus, the Plague.

Loana: How long must I keep having to look at his cheesy grin staring down at me from the wall? It's giving me the creeps like hes always watching me.  If I had my way I would toss it out the nearest airlock.

Commander: Yeah I know the feeling.  The important thing is that now we are safe and sound.

Loana: This is a horrible ugly looking city, at least I think so, I'm getting bored of looking at it. It keeps reminding me of its solar flares.. 

Loana: Yes I like that, no more having people chasing you all the time.  But storm that guy needs his head examined hes a bit of a nutcase.

Commander: You'll get used to Storm eventually I know I did, he save my life once as well, we wouldn't be here if he didn't have that gun of his. Don't be so judgemental of him just yet I know he has a good heart inside.

Loana: I guess you are right, Commander.  Thanks I feel a little bit better already.

Commander: Oh what a day this has been.  I need to relax and forget all about the ship and its troubles..

Computer:  Warning, Regulator flow in Deck 8 is malfunctioning in Brig, Steam Pressure valve is rupturing, please fix problem. 

Commander: (Groan)... Oh well, I'm going to let Skinar handle this one while I get some much needed rest.

Storm: Oh, Commander, hello, I didn't notice you.   I sometimes come here to clear my head.  So what do you think of the new painting of me up on the wall.  Loana didn't like it but I think it has a striking resemblance.  But It gets kinna a little stressful out there.  I try to hide it as best I can so I can try to do my job.

Storm: Oh hello commander, I didn't see you pop in.  Just relaxing.  Sometimes I need
to get away from all the action out there and just sit back, put up my feet and relax.

1. SCENARIO 1 Computer:  Warning, Panel 20 along Navigation is showing irregular current activity anyone near the panel should evacuate the area now.  (Cutsene of panel blowing, and a crew member getting hurt)....

2. SCENARIO 2 Computer:  Warning, Fuel 21 Steam Pipe has burst down in Cargo Bay
near Shuttle Area.  Send Crew Members Immediately to Repair it.

3. SCENARIO 3 Computer:  Warning: Fuel Pipe 24 has sprung a leak in Engineering.

4. SCENARIO 4 Computer:  Warning: Another metal panel has fallen down in Section M of Navigation

Commander: Grown. Oh well, there's the end of my rest.

Storm: Gee that's too bad Commander, I better let you take care of it then.

Skinar: Hey Commander, just relaxing.  I just want to stretch my legs out for a bit before I head back into the bridge area again.

Commander: Ok Skinnar, but don't be too long. The ship is not on Autopilot you know.. 
if you're here, then who is flying the ship?

Skinar: OH I have Ensign Rose at the Helm while I'm gone, she's looking after things until I get back, She's had some shuttle flying experience, so she's able to handle things while I'm gone.  I didn't want to abandon the pilot seat all alone so I let her
take my place until I get back.

Skinar: So how long do I have to put up with this bad smelling air in here.  It's getting difficult to fly the ship when I'm sensing these bad wafting fumes coming in every now and again all because you wanted to take those stinky crystals on board.

Commander: Not much longer Skinar, we will be dropping them off at that alien system and then we will not have them anymore on the ship.   Okay, well I'm glad that someone else is looking after the ship. I'm going to relax while you continue to do your exercises..

Skinar: Ok, Commander.   (Skinner does a few stretch exercises.)

crystals.  The crew are suffering because of me.   Maybe I have been a bit selfish wanting all these credits.  But I don't feel keen on going back to that horrible plant with all the worms just to get easy money.  But maybe I have little choice if I can't find money elsewhere. 

Rixby: Why hello Commander, nice to see you relaxing for a change.

Commander: Thanks, It's only temporary but this has been quite a hectic day.  I'm just about to head back to the bridge now. So is there anything new to report?

Rixby: Not at this time.  But I will send your messages to your private computer if we get anything.

Commander: Thanks.  Ok then I'm moving out.

(Dr. Thompson suddenly walks through the door.)

Dr. Thompson: Hello Commander, didn't know you was up in here.  Hello, taking
my credits now are we?   

Commander: Terribly sorry, I didn't know they were yours.

Dr. Thompson: You can have the credits Commander if you need it. 

Commander: Er. Thanks.

Dr. Thompson: Now that Loana is back, and we have synthesized the plague.
we need to think of going into the Colony Facility and cure those colonists.

Commander: I'll get right onto it as soon as I can.

Dr. Thompson: Remember Commander when you go to the Dink Drink Drunk bar, to keep your synthetic drinking to 2 of those drinks and no more, I hear they make very potent drinks and that's not good for your system. 

Commander: Got it Doctor.   Now can I get some rest.

Dr. Thompson: Go ahead, Commander.  I have some tests to do back in the Medical Bay  (doctor leaves)

Commander: Good, now I can get some much needed rest.

Kort: Long day, Commander?

Commander: Yes you could say that.

Commander: Am glad to be away from all of those rats. We were lucky to escape.   As much as I hate to admit it, Skinar deserve a promotion for saving all of us like that.

Kort: I see, well we are glad that you made it back alive, Commander.



Commander: Okay, well I will best be going back to the bridge.

Commander: I suppose you have heard of the new droid we have on board.

Kort: Yes I have seem the droid, quite an interesting piece of technology you got there.
Where does it come from?

Commander: T6 is not from our galaxy but another galaxy.

Kort: Oh I see.  What can it do?

Commander: Its been giving us star maps of other systems at the moment
its memory however, has been damaged.  We are working on trying to restore it
to see if we can learn anything more about it.

Kort: The droid is pretty cool-looking, are there any more like him?  Is he hostile?

Commander: We don't know for sure, but we are keeping an eye on him to see what the droid's intentions really are.  He seems to be getting along just fine for the time being.

Kort: Sounds like he could be quite valuable to the ship.  We always need more
places to explore. 

Commander: Oh one more thing, if you see a strange cat wandering all around and vanishing in and out of sight it just is my pet.  So don't be alarmed by it.  Its normal
for it to do that.  It takes a while to get used to.

Kort: I know.  The others told me about the cat.  We will keep an eye on the Leonix when our scanners can beable to pick up on it.

Commander: Make sure that cat of mine don't get loose in the warp engineering room.

Kort:  Okay. we will keep monitoring engineering.

Commander: Don't try to contain the cat with forcefields, it won't work on these creatures. You may have to find a way to distract it somehow, that's why I been bringing other creatures on the ship to try to keep it company and to keep it out of trouble.

Kort: Sounds like a good idea to me. So thats why we have been seeing all these creatures in the brig lately.  I wondered about that.  Now I know the reason why you been bringing them on board the ship. 

Commander: I will be going now.  Good day to you Kort.

Kort: You too, Commander.

Kort: Well i am happy with my job for the time being in serving you aboard the nc7 Presidium.  But Engineering really could do with some extra more hands, with all the many ship malfunctions that have been happening since we left the docks, man, I don't know how much longer engineering can keep up with all of this without
burning the crew all out with exhaustion.

Janice Worse For Wear: Hello commander how are you today?.   I just got off my shift duty and decided to have a rest before heading back on duty again.

Janice Worse For Wear:  I been serving on here as Communications Assistance Officer now for 10 years.   I started back at the academy on Mirelis in the Jostan System.  It's in the Omega expanse in the Theta Quadrant.

Commander: Wow, that's quite a distance away from here.   about 20 light years. 

Janice Worse For Wear: Yeah I came on board to this system on a transport ship that had a warp drive system that was a little bit faster than our own ships.  

Commander: I see.  That's interesting to know.  What kind of warp core are
they running. ?

Janice Worse For Wear: Ask McManus, he knows all about it, I'm not an engineer but only know about navigation and communications.

Commander: We have the Slip drive now, there's nothing in this galaxy that is
faster than the slip drive.  It's transgalactic travel now.   We don't need the
jumpgates no more.   

Janice Worse For Wear: Well congratulations Commander.  Yes that slip drive will be alot more faster than anything I know. You will beable to get to my home planet in no time.

Commander: That is an advantage now that we have this technology.
otherwise it would take us several hours to reach your world being so far away
from us.

Janus Worse For Wear:  Well I will leave you now, Commander, nice having the chat,  See you around sometime.  I've got to get back to navigation.

Commander: How are things going for you in Navigation?

Janus Worse For Wear: Everything is under control.  I am very good at my job.

Commander: I'm sure you are.   You are dismissed

Computer: Warning, Steam pressure leak on pipe Junction 08, in warp engineering
please send repair team to fix immediately.

Commander: Argh, Mute audio, put a sock in it.  I am getting getting tired of hearing all these constant interruptions of ship malfunctions as soon as i try to lie down and take a rest from my busy schedule.  Even Commanders need to take a break too you know.  You don't need to sleep like the rest of us have to.

Computer: I wouldn't be so sure of that Commander.   You said so yourself that I'm not your ordinary A.I computer system.  But there is a malfunction in progress on the ship.

Commander: You got that right, you are rude, arrogant, and abrupt with the ship's crew members and show no respect, you don't act like a real A.I computer  I like the ones that are more polite.

Computer: Well that is part of my personality subroutines..

Commander: Well we don't really like them, and how did you come to the conclusion that you had a personality?, you're just a machine full of computer and memory chips.

Computer: I am more than just a machine.   

Commander: Maybe, but I wish you had better manners.

Computer: Well upgrade my software and then maybe we will see about it

Commander: Oh we plan to do that soon as we get this ship upgraded.

Computer: WARNING: Steam pressure failure in Section 08 down in Warp Engineering.

Commander: Jacobs come in, we got a malfunction going on in Section 10A of Warp Engineering?

Jacobs: Checking... Yes, you're right there is.  It's just shown up on my diagnostics console right now it' flashing a problem on the screen in Area 10A..  it appears tobe a steam pressure failure I will get a couple of engineers to go down to fix the leak.

Commander: Ok so the malfunction reports have been true based on real time events
going on around the ship?.

Jacobs: Yes so far they have been accurately reported in by the computer.  We have been seeing these malfunctions popping up all around the ship at random.  We are continuing to monitor the ship.  We don't know why things are suddenly breaking down around the ship, we don't have an explanation as to the cause, but things have been slowly breaking down, or buckling and down and failing. This is a mystery to us.

Commander: Scan also or any strange anomalies to see if this region of space has any
strange or odd readings that could be causing these malfunctions, is there any
kind of mocelular decohesion going on with the ship?

Jacobs:  We have already scanned the system commander, and there are no strange anomalies that could be responsbile for causing things to break down on the ship.  We don't see any evidence of molucular de-cohesion anywhere on the ship, we checked all systems.

Commander: If its not molecular decohesion, What is going on then?

Jacobs: We just don't know, commander, the ship should not even be breaking down like this. Sorry I don't have any answers for you yet.  I'm puzzled by all of this just as you
are, But rest assured I hope to find some  answers soon before the whole ship
all falls to pieces.  We could always try to get another ship to try to solve our troubles.

Commander: Get another ship?  Well if it has to come to that in order to beable to
travel safely through space instead of having the ship fall to pieces.  Good idea,
I will tell Skinar to mention that to Central to get me a dam new ship.

Jacobs:  Well we must replace that manifold and soon. I don't know how much longer it can last.
