Janus Worse For Wear: There are a couple of Anomalies nearby in the area.  Be careful traveling through this region.  We don't have the shielding to deal with them. I can run scans to find a possible window to take the ship into an anomaly area, but I don't recommend it, as they are unstable.  If we land on Melchak, we might find shielding to protect our ships. They should have shielding to reduce the effects.

Commander: Thanks, I will consider that.

Janus Worse For Wear: Fortunately for us we don't have to travel through an anomaly just to land on Melchak.  But if the window closes we will be stuck on Melchak.

Storm: Isn't there anything easy in this game?  Why were we not told about this anomaly window?

Janus Worse For Wear: I just told you about it now. 

Commander: Well Ensign Burns should've told me about it.  Get him in here now. 

+ Ensign burns arrives in the bridge.

Nosey Nella Parkas: You're in some trouble now Mr. Burns. 

Commander: Ensign, why didn't you tell me that your planet was inside an anomaly window.   I just been informed that it will be difficult to try to land the ship on your planet because of it.

Ensign Burns: Well sir, I didn't tell you about it because on our planet, most ships are  fitted with the window device that allows us to regulate that window allowing us to leave the planet or to dock on it as we please.  Obviously this ship hasn't been fitted in with such a device if you are relying on navigation to try to open the window you may damage the ship or run into trouble. 

Computer: Congratulations Commander, I've just hit 10,000 pages of errors now in Ship Logs Reports.  Do you want me to include that report as well to show to your ship trader friend.   Or do you want me to just dump it all hardcopy down on Ensign Burns to write out for you manually.

Storm: Hmm that's an intriguing idea.  It might teach that Ensign a lesson.

Ensign Burns: Oh No, anything but that.

Cronis: Most certainly not !!

Commander: Well it just so happens that my ship dosen't have that device on it.  Janus tells me that we will have to time the window carefully.  10,000 pages of errors, you got to be kidding me right.  how can you jump from 200 pages to 10,000 in such a short time.

Computer: I been silently recording them all along.  Maybe I can reduce it down to 400 pages if I remove all the extra cross-referencing and other grievances.

Ensign Burns; You should be-able to pick up a window regulator device at the Melchak Space Station at the Promenade in echo. Ship Supplies.  You won't be-able to land your ship successfully on Melchak until you install in that device.  Giving me 10,000 pages of detention won't change that fact.

Commander: Great, and how much is this device going to cost us.

Ensign Burns: Well for a standard ship its about 12,000 credits, but because this is a starship, I'm not sure you will have to dock at the space station and make your way into the main promenade and talk to the space ship supplies trader that is there and he will give you a price.  I can't give you any more information about that.  Be sure to give him a ship engineer report because he will be asking for that as well.  The matrix
may have to be configured to suit your ship so he will need the engineer diagnostic report.  Jacobs should know where it is. 

Commander: Jacobs, get me the ship's engineering diagnostic report

Computer: I've got 10,000 errors on report.

Commander: I'm not talking to you Computer. 

Storm: Arrghh, all this trouble we have to go through just to land on this Ensign's little world. 

T6unit: Janice is correct.  According to my calculations if we try to land the ship on Melchak not having adequate enough shielding, will not be enough to offset that window and will compromise the ship and could even damage it beyond repair.

Storm: The only thing I want damaged beyond repair is that cheeky A.I Computer.

Commander: Go on T6, you was saying. .

T6unit: The best choice would be to listen to Ensign Burns and go to the Space Trading Supplier on Melchak Station and install this device on your ship.  I would have to further analyses that device to see what it does with the ship. 

Commander: Sounds like a good idea to me T6.  Do it.

Storm: Pity we don't have a live holo simulation program to lock that droid up into.
and he can analyze all the ship parameters he wants.

Commander: No that would be too much of an overhaul of the whole ship.  I'm not prepared to pull the ship around just to install in a holo deck.

Ensign Burns: Just install the window regulator device and you should be fine.  Mind you a word of caution the device only works for the anomalies that are in our region we don't know why, it doesn't work for other systems. 

Loana: Maybe its the coding of the device.  Sounds like a complex system to me.

Ensign Burns: It is, every ship has their own unique matrix signature the device is assigned to.  I don't know much more about its Maxtrix engineering properties, you will have to talk to that ship supplier to find out more information.   Talk to him, it might be possible to assemble the matrix to work especially for this ship.

Commander: Thanks.  I will.  Thanks for your help Ensign, you are dismissed.
