William Smith: I don't think it quite works that way Commander. Usually when you defeat enemies of alien worlds, and try to whip them into shape it just gets them more angry or they set a bounty after you. You maybe fighting them in an arena on Jamsi, but they got friends back on their homeworlds and they may not be too happy you won the fight. |
Loana: I would suggest a more peaceful resolve with alien worlds than to just walk straight into them. It may pay not to go to anymore of these arena fights if they are as Nella says being broadcast out to just about every homeworld from the Quadrant. Boy they are going to have a lot to talk about you. |
Nosey Nella Parkas: Well, If they do have an interstellar broadcasting service of the arena fights, then it will be. So you better hope that Nella is wrong. Otherwise you will have half the quadrant putting a target on on your back. You did spot the big antenna on the arena roof didn't you before you walked in? That's an interstellar Satellite dish. |
Loana: Commander. your negotiating skills with alien worlds need to improve. You need to turn hostile intentions into neutral, that is what our goal is in the Vinus Council when we do trade deals with other worlds who have different laws and customs but that's difficult to do with Transk around. We rather deal with these things through our councils with peaceful resolves rather than Transk's way to just try to rule over everybody with an iron fist with oppressive means and fight against everybody.
|
Commander: Whatever, just leave your personal grievances on my desk and I will look at them in the morning to see if they have any merit in questioning in my ability as the Commanding Officer of this ship. In the meantime, we have this new world to explore. Its free of charge since we won that fight with Cubis. |
