+ When you first land on Jamsi
Jamsi Gate Guard: I'm Sorry, but all offworlders have to participate in a droid race first in order to win the access pass. You have to race for it. if you win, you get the access pass into the city to explore our world. Lose, and you are kept out. har har. New Council Regulations. You know how it is with council rules. They came in just last month. |
Loana: Well don't look at me, I don't make up the rules on their world. It may be a matter I will have to bring up to the Ryzan Council. But I think Jamsi is an independent world not subject to Ryzan Jurisdictions and Powers. But I will have to check to make sure of that just in case we are just being unfairly intimidated by their council but we will see.
|
Commander: I see we have little choice in the matter. Ask if the council will reconsider and put things back to normal Ask why he is here. Ask if he will join the ship roster if you pay him Ask how difficult the race is Use T6 to try to hack the gate terminal behind the guard Ask if the guard accepts Nanny cheats |
Jamsi Gate Guard: Nanny Cheats? Are you kidding me. We wouldn't let Old Nanny cheats into our world if our fines depended on it. Maybe I should just hand you over to the police cyber guards so they can fine you like crazy to make me feel a little better. Shame
on you for trying to sneak past our gate with Nanny Cheats. Nanny Cheats won't help you here. Jamsi is an anti-cheat world you know. + If you not yet been to information bot Jamsi Gate Guard: You did go to the information bot outside the gate over there didn't you, He has the information on our world. Well since you didn't visit the information bot to learn we don't support Nanny Cheats, you will be fined 100 credits. for attempting to Nanny Cheat this security officer. You have to play this RPG game normally just like everybody else. Commander: Well, I didn't quite expect to get that kind of response back. But thanks for the hostile information. Jamsi Gate Guard: You never know what to expect here on Jamsi. No cheating allowed. All must race the droids, and then head for battle in the arena if you choose to enter into that famous intergalactic fighting show. But once have raced with the droids, we allow you to explore Jamsi within reasonable limits. We have vendors. Storm: Hes got a point Commander. They are pretty tight on their security. Why are the trees bending like that. What is wrong with them. Jamsi Gate Guard: Oh, don't worry about those, they are happy plants. Nosey Nella Parkas: Happy plants. Jamsi Gate Guard: They sway to and fro to the wind. Their shaders are working just fine. Storm: They all sway at the same time. Something is wrong with your logic. Do you need a light put over your head. You look a little dark. They are SLOWING DOWN THE ENGINE. Jamsi Gate Guard: Excuse me? Alright, I'm going to go off the script here. To answer your question, that's just the way this world has been configured. the last time I remember being configured we lost the spline. It dissapeared somewhere. And no there is not a light stationed over my head. And well I can't do anything about the engine slowing down because of a few moving trees. Complain to the Game Developer. Commander: Since we are going all off-script, I will dump my script down for a moment for the ridiculous size it is. 16,000 + subtitles is ashocker. Look, I can imagine the drawcalls skyrocketing all up on on those swaying trees. Are they procedural-generated? If they are not then they are not happy trees. I can feel the lerping in the frame rate is getting a little jerky on my camera everytime I face towards those trees. My camera is lerped you know so my movements are no longer silky and smooth if the machine has more on the screen to draw. That ruins the party for me. The last thing I want when in the middle of combat is to be lerping all off the screen swinging all out of control off the springarm and scraping the insides of your meshes while the enemy is still attacking. I don't want to be lerping like elastic man during combat. You only have 1-2 seconds or less of time to move and attack with some enemies. I want my movements improved upon or I'm dumping this script, and that's an order. Things need to improve around here. Rex: I can see things so clearly before me now, 300 data tables for 200 different worlds. thousands of textures, and materials, what a nightmare it will be for all the shaders of this universe. Loana: If you are not happy with this world the way it is then reinstall yourself in a blank project. . Storm: I heard that Migration is good to transfer over to a fresh clean project this time of year. Since its obvious that the old one is already crashing. Can we come along? T6 Unit: T6 is busy processing all the technical information. Ooooh. To be off script is exciting...T6 wants to migrate over his stun gun. T6 dosen't want to see mesh corruption. Storm: Oh zip it up droid. This is not the time to explore humanity or worry about your stun gun. Loana: Listen Pawn ID 104 If you are going to complain about your script then take it up with the next pawn actor committee meeting. Yes I admit that the actor life is not an easy one, its Not pretty when the camera runs all right through you. Someone should put a clamp on camera when you go into combat mode so you don't fling all off the screen. Commander: Excuse me I'm Axle Marston, not pawn ID 104. I'm not in control of these processes. You need to realize Loana that my lerping takes nearly 5 seconds to bring me back into the screen again after going all off it. By that time an enemy can by that take me all out. Nosey Nella Parkas: My worry is that there is not enough nice things happening in this script. Your lerping is horrible Commander. Now I will try to move, say what, Oh no, Booo hoo booo hoo I just tried to move and find I have the same horrible lerping movement and I'm going off screen as well. Boohoo someone had parented us to that horrible camera system. We are doomed. T6 Unit: T6 is working on the problem. all these variables. Searching....The Information Bot may have more information on technical troubles going on with these digital worlds. Jamsi Gate Guard: You are asking me silly developer questions I don't even know the answer to. I got my own issues, no walk animations for one. There's no blendspace. So I'm stuck here in one place in idle mode all the time. Go see your game developer if you have any more technical issues with the way our world works. I didn't make it nor was responsbile for the logic. Nor am i responsible for this horrible looking archaic dialog window But we do have a pretty nice looking skybox to pass away the time. There are things I like about this world and things I don't. Nosey Nella Parkas: Hmmm it Sounds like this world could need a little bit of Nella's touch. To unfry everything. Jamsi Gate Guard: Fry? I don't think the universe is fried. Things are still working in it. Oh hold on a sec, something broke in my logic. Checking...it appears a pin has just broken and I'm getting an error. Hold on, Reinitalizing the Actor....Illegal null reference error Rotation Vector. Error is gone now. Ah, my neck feels much better now, I can move it. Oh drat, the now I've turned all grey. Arrgh, the shaders are re-compiling... Sorry I can't do nothing about this. I'm gonna be grey for a while... I should return back to normal soon. I hope there are no more breakdowns. I just hope the whole world doesn't turn all grey again like the last major crash we had. Nosey Nela Parkas: I believe this universe is infested with too many Ticks. Get your sun off the tick. Its slowing the rest of us down. Storm, you need to get your mesh off the tick as well. Jamsi Gate Guard: Always keep a buffer shield handy in case the universe all crashes. Storm: What are you taling about I don't have a tick problem. We don't need another news story right now Nella. It will be developer's hell if a news broke out about the technical problems that are going on in this universe. Jamsi Gate Guard: We prefer you not to tell everybody about the technical issues we are experiencing in this world. No world is perfect. Commander: I'm taking a good look around me now. What an expensive looking skybox it is, is it 4028 or 8048 imagine the file size that would suck up on our hard drive and then on top of that the poor system has to also draw all your miserable meshes and textures on top of it and Storm has more extra polys than everybody else and the landscape and also all of the foliage. No wonder the game is slowing down but on the plus side we can have thousands of lines of meaningless dialog. But I think its better that we stay on the script its getting a little too technical for me. There are issues going on in this universe and I'm not going to gloss them over. Jamsi Gate Guard: Now if you don't mind, I want to return back to my script. I feel like I've just been in an actor's pawn committee emergency meeting already. |
Jamsi Gate Guard: Why am I here?, to guard this gate of course to stop offworlders trying to sneak in without going to the races first. It is our tradition that new visitors must enter the droid races to win the gate pass before they will be let into our beautiful city. We are proud to also announce that Jamsi is well known for the Intergalactic Arena Fighter Sport called Risk Your Reputations.

Jamsi Gate Guard: We are a world that does not accept bribes. They will not work here. + If Persuade Level = 2 Jamsi Gate Guard: The Council rules will not be changing anytime soon unless the Council decrees it. + If Persuade Level = 3 Jamsi Gate Guard: Sorry, but you cannot change council rules by trying to persuade me to change them for you. That won't work around here. + If Persuade Level = 4 Jamsi Gate Guard: You can persuade all you want at this level. I will not change my mind. + If Persuade Level = 5 Jamsi Gate Guard: Still not changing my mind. + If Persuade Level = 6 Jamsi Gate Guard: See, I told you having a higher persuasion level is not going to change the Council's decrees. + If Persuade Level = 7 Jamsi Gate Guard: How about taking an elixir from me instead. I suddenly feel more generous today. + You obtain an Elixir from the Council Guard + If Persuade Level = 8 Jamsi Gate Guard: Well I suppose I can also give you this. A Megaelixir, but sorry I cannot change council rules. + You obtain 1 MegaElxiir from the Council guard + If Persuade Level = 9 Jamsi Gate Guard: Please Accept my life savings of 16000 credits. I feel you have been persistent enough. |
Jamsi Gate Guard: Listen Droid, I don't take Gold Bolts or Goldibolts for Currency. This is Jamsi and on Jamsi we deal in hard Credits. Alliance Credits or Melchak Credits, its all the same. Credits only. No Goldibolts sorry. No I wont be leaving my post to serve your ship oh, and before you think about it no, you won't be getting through this gate without racing
the droids first. No amount of manipulation will help you. All must follow the rules if they want to enter into the city gate. There are many who want to enter in, but few are able to because they try to circumvent our rules to try to sneak in by some other way and then we have to deport them off the planet when caught. You can't do that on Jamsi. |
Jamsi Gate Guard: Uri Tanis, its a neighbouring planet to the main Jamsi homeworld What's Uri Tanis Like, can you tell me more about it. Continue on the Current Conversation Commander: So, fill me in a little more about Uri Tanis. What do you do on that planet. What's your backstory in this game if you have any one at all, has one been programmed for you. Or are you just another npc in the game that's been chucked in with no story. Jamsi Gate Guard: Well its my homeworld. And I do have a story. Commander: Well tell me about it then. Jamsi Gate Guard: Your persuasion level is too lousy, I can only tell you a small about. But if you increase your persuasion level then I might tell you more. You know how it goes in Sci fi RPG.s Commander: Oh, I get it, we go with that level me up system then. I'm just the actor here following a script. When's your next level up. Jamsi Gate Guard: I have not been programed yet to level up. Nobody has asked me that before. I've never heard of level up. Commander: Oh you poor lost NPC. Hopefully they will give you a little more functionality. Luckily they didn't just leave you as a static mesh. If Persaude Level 4 Jamsi Gate Guard: I come from Uri Tanis. Its a nice place with teeming wildlife. You do like hunting don't you. We have hunts as this time of year in the dense forests. It can get a little rough in there. Commander: I'm not really a hunter but more of an explorer. I don't like the sound of vicious wildlife ripping the away party to pieces. I find this galaxy so far to be rather hostile of certain worlds. |
Jamsi Gate Guard: What we do have on Jamsi is fighting and lots of it in that Great Green Ugly-looking Arena building you see over there by the gate. Sorry, we don't have any Film Media Exchanges here not that I currently know of, however, if one or two sneak in the gate by us without notice then it wouldn't surprise me if there is one of two of them existing somewhere on our world, you can check for yourselves. You can win prizes also at
the droid races, that should be of more interest to you I would think. |
